Nicknames....

Rhys has two nicknames already:

Sebastian (from the lobster in Little Mermaid): The effect is so much better when he has his mittens on!

and Turtle...this is his favorite way to look at you!

Attempt to catch up!

Well, here's an attempt to catch up at least. We have taken so many pictures over the last 4 weeks that I don't know where to begin. I will be updating our pictures on picasa (see link on the side) with all our pictures, so you can go there soon to see them all.

Here is Rhys's first boat trip on the upper Ord River at 2 1/2 weeks old:

Time flies when you're having fun!

Well, it's amazing to think that Mom and Dad are back home after being here for four weeks! Time has truly flown...tomorrow Rhys is 4 weeks. Yesterday was Eldon and I's first day on our own with our son...that was a bit scary! :) We drove up to Darwin on Sunday and had a few days there with Mom and Dad before they flew out on Wed morning early. Rhys was terrible in the meeting that night...he got way too hot...again! He is so much better running around naked. Anyway, we finally got him cooled off after the meeting but that night wasn't so good. The trip home on Thursday went really good though...I was surprised. It's nice to be home again...now I have to establish some kind of routine so that I can get things done. That will be a new challenge! I've started using the cloth nappies today..I'll have to post pictures soon.

I'll keep it short an sweet for now...pictures of our trip will follow, but I won't promise how soon!

Hidden Valley National Park

Rhys's first real outing: a walk in Hidden Valley. We took him in a sling which Dad carried since my hips and pelvis aren't up to it yet. He slept the whole way!
