Mom is here!
Mom arrived on Oct. 28th for a visit to our home in Mt Isa! She is going to be here for 6 weeks all together including convention AND her 50th birthday!! Woohoo! Rhys is loving having another person to cuddle and play with.
A Saturday for Gardening
Eldon's green thumb is back in full force! For those of you who knew us in Papakura, you'll remember the awesome garden we had back then. Well....we aren't going so crazy here as it would take a lot of soil and a rotary hoe to make a difference to the dirt. Eldon has planted everything in pots; carrots, capsicum, cherry tomatoes, roma tomatoes, cucumber, pumpkin, watermelon, climbing beans, dwarf beans...hmmm what else? It's really fun to watch it grow...the beans have grown so fast! Hopefully if all is well, we'll have a nice little harvest in a few months.

Rhys "helping" put dirt in the pot...he ended up with cow manure and soil all over him...what fun!

Instalment #6: The morning of the wedding
We woke up on Friday morning to a glorious day! What a surprise! Our houses faced Oneroa Beach and the view was amazing! The wedding wasn't until the evening, so we were able to relax and have a really enjoyable morning.
The view from our balcony
Mum, Dad and Eldon enjoying the beautiful sunshine in their pajamas!
Granddad reading Monkey Puzzle to Rhys
I made a breakfast of scrambled eggs and bacon
We went to get our hair done about 1pm
Instalment #5: Thursday night BBQ
The two families, Pattersons and Ellises got together on Thursday night and had an awesome barbeque. We rented houses on Waiheke and it came equiped with a barbeque. The weather was still pretty awful but the boys managed to cook everything just fine.
