Instalment #6: The morning of the wedding

We woke up on Friday morning to a glorious day! What a surprise! Our houses faced Oneroa Beach and the view was amazing! The wedding wasn't until the evening, so we were able to relax and have a really enjoyable morning.
The view from our balcony
Mum, Dad and Eldon enjoying the beautiful sunshine in their pajamas!
Granddad reading Monkey Puzzle to Rhys
I made a breakfast of scrambled eggs and bacon
We went to get our hair done about 1pm
Halfway there...looking good
All done...Roz had a beautiful flower decoration in her hair
Me...looking somewhat like Cousin It as the hairdresser ratted my whole head of hair!!
Almost done...an amazing french roll

Instalment #5: Thursday night BBQ

The two families, Pattersons and Ellises got together on Thursday night and had an awesome barbeque. We rented houses on Waiheke and it came equiped with a barbeque. The weather was still pretty awful but the boys managed to cook everything just fine.
Bobby Ellis and Darryn cranking up the barbeque
Roz was not impressed with Mike's shirt!!
Darryn and Denise made us yummy chai tea lattes

It was fairly cold that night....
Bobby and Jessica Ellis...Mike's brother and wife

night-night kisses

Instalment #4: Ferry to Waiheke

Dad, Mum, Darryn, Denise, Eldon and I and Rhys took the car ferry to Waiheke on Thursday, the day before the wedding. It was rotten weather...windy and raining and awful...we didn't hold out much hope for a sunny wedding day.
Rhys loved climbing up and down the stairs on the ferry
Going round and round on the swivel chairs

"Are we there yet?"
You can see the wonderful weather we were having as we pulled into Waiheke
