Now that I have finally completed all my trip photos...I've been going round the mulberry bush deciding how to catch up. So it's come down to this...one very large and varied post that will with one hit bring me into the present again! Whew....only a few weeks and I'll have more pictures from Eldon's trip to post.
The week after I arrived home from New Zealand, we were unfortunate enough to have the toilet blocked up for a day and a half....just when the workers were coming to stay! Our toilet and plumbing were apparently an old style so to get to the blockage, they had to knock the toilet out! The toilet was concreted in...no way to do this easy except with a sledgehammer! So out it came. We had a new toilet by 1pm and our guest worker, Linda Calloway, arrived at 6pm. Whew!
Bye-bye old toiletWe had a lovely few days with the workers in Mt Isa before they left again for the special meeting. We travelled down to Winton for our special meeting which involves a bit of driving so we went down and stayed Saturday night. On the way down, Rhys hit his forehead on a sharp window ledge and gave us a good scare. You can't really see how bad it was from the picture....we were just glad that he didn't need stitches or have a concussion. There is still a slight lump under the skin 2 1/2 weeks later!
I love our big back yard...so does Rhys. I love having a bird feeder...so does Rhys. Here is the flock of pigeons who come visiting when the birdseed appears. I was hoping for sulpher crested cockatoos or galahs or something..but pigeons and sparrows are going to have to do for now.
This is Rhys's new favorite hobby...reading Daddy's aviation magazines. Hmmm...not liking the look of this.
Well, Eldon left for Ireland yesterday. It is quite the trip...he stayed the night in Bribane last night, flew to Tokyo today, has the night there tonight, flies to Paris tomorrow and then on to Dublin. And then does it all again a week later except with Frankfurt added in. So...I wish I was going, but I can't say I would really look forward to that trip. Last night I treated myself to a big bowl of ice cream and chocolate sauce for my pity party. I hope he has a great time and brings me home lots of nice pictures...and not just ones of planes, thank you very much!
